2 Night Tuscan Escape Itinerary
Across this jam-packed three-day tour, you’ll have the privilege of visiting Tuscany‘s most stunning attractions. From the vibrant Cinque Terre coastline to the historic streets of Siena and San Gimignano, this delightful adventure reveals the best monuments, food and culture found throughout this amazing region.
Day One (dinner)
Meet your personal guide and climb aboard our comfortable transport as we head for Siena. Surrounded by sun-drenched hillsides teeming with exceptional olive groves and vineyards, this popular medieval city is home to a wealth of historical marvels. Wander the shell-shaped Piazza del Campo and grab something to eat at the nearby al fresco restaurants – you won’t be disappointed.
Next, we’ll depart for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of San Gimignano. Recognised for its 13 ancient towers that contribute to its wonderful skyline, stroll the cobblestoned streets and experience life in a city that has stood for centuries.
At the end of the day, we’ll be resting our heads at the Relais Villa Olmo, a plush hotel where you’ll overlook the nearby Chianti hills and relish a decadent Tuscan-style dinner.
Day Two (breakfast, lunch & dinner)
We’ll enjoy a lovely breakfast at the hotel and then head straight for the Italian Riviera and its most incredible highlight, Cinque Terre. Roam the spectacular hillsides and soak up the five colourful fishing villages, soon you’ll discover the region’s fascinating history as you visit the terraced fields and gardens. Touring these charming communities by foot, train and boat (if the weather permits), we’ll also sit down at a seafront restaurant and taste the best of Ligurian cuisine with delicious fresh seafood and white wine.
After we venture through the seafront vineyards and the winding backstreets, we’ll return to the hotel and enjoy another specially prepared Tuscan feast.
Day Three (breakfast, lunch)
Declared as Italy’s first legally protected wine region more than 300 years ago, the Chianti hills are celebrated for their collection of wonderful vineyards. Across a wealth of historic mansions and family-run wine estates, follow your expert sommelier guide as you get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into some of the world’s top winemaking destinations. Perhaps most famous for the ‘Super Tuscans‘ red blend, you’ll find out why this combination of acidity and aroma is considered so special. Before we head back to Florence and conclude our remarkable three-day tour, you’ll sample a few glasses of wine alongside a spectacular lunch – the perfect way to end your Tuscan journey.
